“You look kinda stressed,” Dee commented.
Ryo just stared at his partner, one eyebrow raised. “Stating the obvious now?”
Dee shrugged. “Just sayin’. I’d offer you a blowjob, help you relax, but this probably isn’t the best place.”
That drew an incredulous laugh from Ryo. “You’re unbelievable! We’re at the courthouse, waiting to testify!”
“I know. I did say this wasn’t the best place,” Dee reminded his lover. “Anyway, least I made you laugh.”
“Just shut up. I need to concentrate on the facts of the case; the last thing I need is you distracting me.” Ryo fell silent for a few moments, then added, “But I’ll take a raincheck.”
Dee smirked. “You got it.”
Testifying, as always, was both stressful and tedious, but by the time their part in proceedings was over, they were almost certain that unless the defence attorney could pull off a miracle, the accused would be found guilty. If there was any justice at all, he’d be sentenced to life without parole.
Ryo was still on edge though; winding down after testifying was always difficult.
“Ready for me to keep my promise?” Dee asked, shutting the apartment door.
“What?”
Dee grinned and winked. “Goin’ down…”
