The Doctor frowned, feeling rather put out. Companions were supposed to be thrilled by their surroundings, excited, enthusiastic, full of awe and wonder. What they weren’t supposed to do was gripe about every little thing.
Of course, he usually got to pick his companions, and he chose each one carefully, as far as was possible. Tegan had simply blundered into the TARDIS by accident one day and sort of been unintentionally abducted, but he’d thought she would have got over that by now.
“Are you going to complain about everything?”
“Too right I am! Just take me back to Heathrow!”
