Yeah. A little flashback wouldn't have hurt. But at that point, the focus was on making the Weeping Angels mysterious/scary.*shrugs*

Yes, we weren't supposed to know too much about them too soon. They needed to be mysterious.

Yep. Similar to the unknown entity in the episode Midnight. Oh well, it gave people jobs to dress up as the weeping angels I suppose.

I loved the first Weeping Angels episode. Some of the scariest monsters. Sometimes it's best to keep the scary monsters mysterious. Makes them scarier.

I think it's true, Doctor Who would be less fun without the monsters, and why have monsters if you don't have a hero capable of defeating them?

Yes, an antagonist's threat level can often be measured by the episode they feature in during a particular series.

And the Doctor faces a lot of great threats, but we know he can be as dangerous as the threats he faces. The Oncoming Storm. Except for Thirteen, who was about as threatening as a kitten and needed a whole host of companions to do things for her.

I didn't see much either, but what I did see I wasn't impressed. She was more Oncoming Drizzle than Oncoming Storm.
