Double Drabble: Not Fragile

Summary: Tosh is nowhere near as delicate as she appears.

A/N: Double drabble.
Because of her small and slight build, which made her appear delicate, even fragile, people who didn’t know Tosh, and even some who did, tended to underestimate her.
The apparent fragility was deceptive, however, as Ianto had discovered when the cannibal villagers had locked them both in that dark, dank cellar, with its pile of shoes and refrigerator full of body parts.
In Tosh’s case, size really didn’t matter; she had a core of iron and nerves of steel, staying calm even while Ianto himself was on the verge of blind panic. Okay, so maybe she wasn’t quite as strong physically as other members of the team, but that didn’t mean she was helpless, or that she couldn’t pull her weight in the field. She was an excellent shot, as all Torchwood agents had to be, and she knew how to fight when she needed to.
“I broke my heel!” she complained, holding up a shoe. “And I really liked this pair.”
Ianto couldn’t keep from chuckling. “Not sure that alien was too enthused with your choice of footwear.”
“Yes, well, stilettos aren’t just a fashion statement. They make quite effective improvised weapons, if you know how to use them.”
