It stood there, huge and lumpy, like a bunch of oversized grapes balanced on three tree trunks and topped off with a bunch of Ping-Pong balls on sticks. Rose wasn’t sure if it was a natural rock formation, or some kind of weird sculpture.
“What’s that then?”
“A statue of the Supreme Emperor Bulboninx, if I’m not mistaken.” Hands in his trouser pockets, the Doctor stared up at the monstrosity, smiling. “It’s an excellent likeness.”
“You’re ‘aving me on!”
“You’ve seen enough aliens to know they’re not all shaped like humans,” the Doctor pointed out.”
“Yeah, but… That’s just weird!”
