A/N: Triple drabble.
It was mortifying, and Ryo was torn between apologising and… well, he wasn’t sure what else. Berkeley Rose was his superior, and Ryo knew he could lose his job over what just happened, but at the same time, the Commissioner had to know he was in the wrong. What he’d done was blatant sexual harassment; had he honestly expected Ryo to be okay with it?
He'd already blocked one of Berkeley’s attempts to kiss him, that should have been all the Commissioner needed to accept that Ryo wasn’t interested, but no. In the middle of a busy street, probably figuring Ryo was less likely to make a scene in front of witnesses, Rose had kicked him in the ankle, making Ryo fall towards him, then kissed him full on the mouth.
That had totally been premeditated, but Ryo’s response hadn’t been. He’d simply reacted, drawing his fist back and letting fly with a right hook, punching the Commissioner in the mouth, knocking his glasses off and splitting his lip. Rose had gone down hard, and hadn’t been happy about it.
The thing was, Ryo didn’t dislike the Commissioner, he just wasn’t attracted to him, and he hated people taking advantage of him, like he was easy or something; Dee could have told Rose that wasn’t the case. But Commissioner Rose was a wealthy and powerful man, probably accustomed to getting whatever he wanted from people, and no way was Ryo going to put up with his superior treating him like a perk of the job.
Yes, he felt bad for landing that punch, but pushing Rose away, saying he wasn’t interested, wasn’t getting the point across; hopefully the split lip would. Perhaps he’d apologise to his superior tomorrow, but a part of him didn’t regret it. Rose had it coming.
