A/N: Double drabble.
Through experience and careful observation, Ianto had come to the conclusion that Owen wasn’t what you’d call a people person. Why he’d decided to become a doctor, a profession that involved interacting with people on a daily basis, Ianto couldn’t begin to guess, especially since the medic seemed to far prefer dealing with corpses rather than living beings.
He and Owen were on a Rift retrieval, and Owen had just managed to annoy yet another person through his rudeness and impatience.
“I should’ve come on my own,” Ianto grumbled. “You’re just making everything harder than it needs to be. It amazes me that you can actually find girls willing to sleep with you.” Owen had been boasting about his latest conquest on the drive over.
“I’ll ‘ave you know I can be very charming when I want to be.”
“So why aren’t you using your supposed charm to help out now?”
“’Cause I don’t want to.”
“You mean because there’s nothing in it for you.” Ianto scowled at his colleague.
Owen just smirked.
“Well, if you’re not going to make yourself useful, you might as well go back to the car. I’ll finish up here myself.”
“Thought you’d never ask.”
