Fic Of The Week - Week One Hundred And Twenty Eight

Jun 09, 2014 13:23

Another Monday, and another short fic. I've got a lot to do, so this will be a very quick post.

This week's fic is A Matter Of Time, a 5-parter by iolo1234 from September 2009.

Summary: This is my take on how the relationship between Ianto and Jack developed. It begins at the end of episode 5 with Jack sat in his office and refers back to other events. I ( Read more... )

Thanks for the rec. This was one of the first fanfiction stories I wrote all those years ago. I really loved that TW gave you what has become known as the fanfiction gap. I filled it with this.

I'm looking forward to reading it! There's still so much of yours that I haven't read.

Sadly, at the moment writing is taking precedence over reading, I hardly have any time to read. Knew I shouldn't have signed up for the bingo, lol! And now I have to find a beta for my mammoth Jack and Ianto as kids doing school plays fic, over 13,700 words long *headdesk* It's for several squares on my bingo card - 4 definitely, but possibly 5 if they let me use random squares that aren't in line with the other 4.

How are things with you? You haven't been around much lately!

*hugs*

I know I'm not around much now. I've really stopped writing fantiction because of writing the original stuff and I'm not on LJ very much. My first novel, Sporting Chance is due out in October and I've got another one with a publisher at the moment. Currently, I'm writing s story about two older men who meet again after over 30 years. I've also got the sequel to SC to write and I've rewritten my Canton Chronicles which someone is looking at for me. I've a story coming out on the m/m Goodreads site for their free anthology. I'll link it when it's up on the site.
Got early retirement on medical grounds because of my arthritis which has given me an income and time to write. Things could be worse.
Hpe you are OK.

Yay for your writing going so well! And to think it started with writing fanfiction! It's always so great to see friends branching out and getting published =D

Arthritis is never fun, sounds like yours is bad, but you're turning the situation into something more positive with your wrinting, so good luck with getting your second novel published, you have a whole new career!

I'm battling on. More bad days than good, but I've managed to write something every day this year - even if some days it was just one drabble - and I've posted something every day too. Don't know how long I can keep doing that, but I will for as long as I can keep momentum up. Now I just need to get on with writing bingo fics!
