A/N: Double drabble.
There were definite advantages to living high above the city streets, Ianto mused as he stood in the roof garden, sipping his first coffee of the day and gazing out across Cardiff.
The air was cleaner for a start, a warm breeze keeping the traffic fumes from reaching him. There were no tall buildings around the old warehouse to block the sun either. This early in the morning, the streets below were still in shadow while here he was, basking in warm spring sunshine. Really, Jack couldn’t have chosen a better place for their home.
“Penny for your thoughts?” Jack said, coming to join him, cradling his steaming coffee mug in both hands.
Ianto glanced at his lover, smiling contentedly. “Just thinking what a beautiful morning it is, and how lucky we are to have this.” He swept one hand out to indicate their private oasis, flowers already open and nodding in the breeze, bees buzzing industriously among them.
“You don’t miss your old place then.”
“Occasionally; we made a lot of good memories there, but it was a bit cramped. I like having more space to spread out.”
“Room to grow.” Jack smiled softly. “Room for a family someday.”
