Double Drabble: Car Chase

Summary: Ianto isn’t impressed with Owen’s driving.

A/N: Double drabble.
Sitting in the backseat, checking his gun, Ianto can’t help wondering why Owen is dawdling. They’re supposed to be chasing a blowfish driving a sports car, and yet when he glanced at the speedometer on the dashboard, they weren’t going much above the speed limit, barely sixty.
If Jack were here and doing the driving, they would have caught the bloody blowfish ages ago. Come to that, if Ianto himself had been driving they wouldn’t be having to ask pedestrians which way it had gone. Not that Owen lets him drive, which is a shame. After all, Ianto has taken advanced driving classes and Owen hasn’t. Which is why Owen drives like a little old lady.
Ianto would say something, but he knows it wouldn’t go down well, so he just concentrates on making sure his weapon is ready for when they catch up with the fugitive. At this rate, it might be sometime next week. If they’re very lucky.
He misses Jack, he even misses the adrenaline rush as they tear through Cardiff at ridiculous speeds, relying only on Jack’s reflexes to prevent total disaster. If Jack ever comes home, Ianto swears he’ll never complain about his driving again.
