Summary: Dee used to kneel in church, but now he goes down on his knees for a very different reason.

A/N: Double drabble.
Thinking back, Dee remembers going to Mass every Sunday with Mother and the other kids she considered old enough to behave tolerably. He remembers the heavy, headache inducing scent of incense, the musty smell of old hymnals and dusty hassocks, kneeling in prayer, simultaneously in awe, terrified of being smited, and bored stiff.
Back then, he’d been worshipping a higher being he still puts faith and trust in, even though these days he seldom attends church. He’s seen so much as a cop, acts of pure evil committed by humans against each other, that he sometimes wonders why he still believes in God, and yet he does, because there has to be a power for good to balance out the evil.
He doesn’t kneel to pray anymore though, it would feel wrong, even indecent, bordering on sacrilege. These days, when he hits his knees it’s to carry out a very different and more intimate form of worship.
Glancing up through his eyelashes, Dee sees Ryo staring down at him, eyes darker than ever, bottom lip caught between his teeth, and a thrill goes through him. This beautiful man is his, and absolutely deserves to be the subject of Dee’s devotions.
