A/N: Double drabble.
His first day at his new school, Bikky was nervous. He wasn’t worried about fitting in and making friends, he’d always been pretty good at that, and he wasn’t afraid of being bullied. Kids at his new school would soon learn that he couldn’t be pushed around. No, what really bothered him was the teachers.
By now they would have seen the records from his old school, his poor attendance, and his bad grades. What if they thought he wasn’t worth teaching? He’d promised Ryo he’d do better, that he wouldn’t skip school anymore, and he’d do all his homework, something he'd almost never bothered with when his dad was still alive, but his new teachers wouldn’t know about any of that.
He knew he’d been sort of lazy before, and his teachers had considered him irresponsible. He’d never felt there was any point in trying since everyone said he’d never make anything of himself, but things were different now.
Ryo believed in him, thought he would have a bright future if he put the effort into schoolwork that he put into basketball, and Bikky wanted to prove him right. He needed his teachers to see how much he’d changed.
