A/N: Double drabble.
Magnetism was not supposed to work like this! Owen was a doctor, not a physicist, but even he knew that while all substances had some type of magnetism, it wasn’t enough to turn them into magnets, and their ability to attract or repel would only be detectable using sensitive instruments. It wouldn’t be anywhere near enough to visibly affect the physical world, and yet…
He tried to pull his hand away from his autopsy subject, but only succeeded in dragging it halfway off the table. It wasn’t sticky, there was no slime or other exudation, the skin was completely smooth, no microscopic, hooked barbs that could have caught on him, and anyway, he could poke it with his instruments to no effect. He just couldn’t detach it from his latex-gloved hand, and he couldn’t get the glove off either.
Worse, he couldn’t hold the stupid thing down to pull his hand free by force without risking getting his other hand stuck. He racked his brains trying to think which of his colleagues might prove most helpful in freeing him.
“Tosh!” he yelled.
“Yes, Owen?”
“What d’you know about disrupting magnetic fields?”
“Why?”
“This fucking corpse won’t let go of me!”
