Summary: Ianto’s role within Torchwood is changing.

A/N: Double drabble.
Things had changed between Ianto and Jack recently. It had begun, probably, with Ianto’s inclusion in the ill-fated trip to the Brecon Beacons, which had almost resulted in him being butchered for the villagers’ Sunday dinner.
Then there’d been the other case of people going missing, which Ianto had taken it upon himself to investigate, resulting in Jack being sent through a portal to another world… Ianto didn’t like to think about that too much. It was a miracle he’d been able to follow and both he and Jack had made it back in one piece.
After that, he’d basically snogged Jack’s face off and then taken him to bed, which was a lot more fun to think about than the preceding events. It had certainly got Jack’s attention, and Ianto welcomed being more involved in the team’s activities as a result, but was he really ready to step up and do more fieldwork?
“So,” Jack was saying. “You, me, Weevil hunting… What d’you say? It’s not like you don’t have prior experience, although I think you’d be better armed with something other than a tree branch.”
“Well, if you think I’m ready…” Ianto paused then nodded. “Okay, I’m game.”
