“I hope you don’t mind me just showing up on your doorstep like this,” Ryo said when Dee answered his door.
Dee snorted, shaking his head. “Babe, you’re always welcome, anytime, day or night. What’s up?” He stepped aside so Ryo could enter the apartment.
“I don’t know, guess I was just feeling a bit lonely with Bikky away at camp. It’s funny, I used to be perfectly happy by myself but now, when I’m alone it feels like the walls are closing in on me. I spent all evening doing chores, and now there’s nothing left to do, and I tried to watch TV, but I was… bored. I never get bored!”
“Wanna keep yourself busy doin’ all my chores too?” Dee teased.
“Idiot. I didn’t come here to keep busy, I came for some company, and maybe so I wouldn’t have to sleep alone.”
“Company I can provide, both the wakin’ and the sleepin’ kind,” Dee assured his lover. “Might even be able to provide some entertainment if you’re interested.” He winked. “Got somethin’ ya might like to play with.”
Even at his most airheaded, Ryo couldn’t misunderstand what Dee was suggesting. He smiled.
“I could be persuaded.”
