Tropical vacations weren’t an every-year kind of thing, they were more expensive than taking a trip to Florida, California, or even over to England, and had to be saved up for, but they were worth every cent. Enjoying perfect weather, white sands, dazzlingly clear water, and the slow pace of island life was always a treat, especially when the weather back home was cold and wet.
Coming out of the sea after a leisurely swim, Ryo ran up the beach towards where he’d left his towel, quickly drying himself off before reaching for the sunscreen. It was waterproof, but there was no point taking chances when the sun was high in the sky and the weather so hot.
Sprawled on his back in the sun, Dee cracked open one eye behind his shades and squinted at his lover as Ryo flopped onto the big beach mat and poured sunscreen into his hand.
“Want me to get your back?”
“If it’s no trouble. I thought you were still asleep.” Dee had opted for a long post-lunch nap while Ryo had read until deciding to take a dip in the invitingly warm, placid waters.
“I was, but ya dripped on me. Woke me up.” Dee grinned admiringly as he cast his gaze over his lover’s lean, toned body. “Not that I’m complainin’ or anything; you’re always a sight worth wakin’ up to.”
“Hornball,” Ryo teased, holding out the lotion bottle.
Grin widening, Dee sat up and took it. “You got it. And ya know I’d never pass up the chance to get my hands on ya. Turn around.”
When Ryo did as requested, swivelling on the mat until his back was to his partner, Dee poured lotion into his palm and put the bottle where they could both get at it. He settled behind his lover, one leg either side of Ryo and started at the top, rubbing sunscreen into the back of Ryo’s neck, then massaging it into his shoulders before working slowly down his back.
“I love doin’ this, your skin’s always so smooth,” he murmured. “Irresistible.”
Ryo laughed. “That’s because I take care of it. Body lotion, sunscreen, moisturising shower gel…” He grinned over his shoulder at Dee. “Skincare pays.”
“Oh yeah?”
“Well, smooth, supple skin… You can’t keep your hands off me, can you?”
It was Dee’s turn to laugh. “So ya do all this for me?”
“No, I do it for my own comfort; I don’t want to be all dry, flaky, and sunburned. But if you enjoy the results too, we both win.”
“Guess that’s true enough. So, when you’re done, how ‘bout you do my back, maybe some other parts too?”
Ryo leaned back far enough to press a quick kiss to the corner of Dee’s mouth. “I think that can be arranged. Well moisturised skin is always a pleasure to touch.”
“Can’t argue with that,” Dee agreed, smoothing his hands down Ryo’s back and around to his chest. “I could do this all day.”
