Yeah, I was disappointed that Carol didn't at least put them in water. Of course, I would have preferred if Bikky hadn't cut them in the first place...

It always amuses me when I read the manga that Ryo somehow failed to notice they were gone until the following day when he went to water them, despite the fact that they're right by his bed, lol!

Oh my God what a cute idea! That was so, so adorable - and funny, too! And such wise words in the end! We could all learn something from the way of life of a sunflower.

You see me impressed! *-*

(And I don't think I'll ever look at the sunflowers in the manga the same way again as I did before, lol!)

I'd re-read that volume recently so when I was browsing the prompts at the community I'd just joined that one jumped out at me and I knew exactly what I was going to write. It was fun trying to write from the sunflowers' POV. I wonder if they spared a thought before they died for dear Ryo, who had tended them so lovingly. I'm sure they were grateful for his care =)

Yes, the prompt was perfect for the sunflower! I think I'll take a look at that community, too...
Well, there's one good thing about the sunflower being gone: Ryo can "adopt" a new plant and shower it with love! (I wonder if Dee was ever jealous of the sunflower...?) :D

It was a scene from the manga that just popped into my head when I saw that prompt and I loved the idea of writing from the sunflowers' perspective. Poor things, I always felt bad about them being just dropped in the rug and left.

(The funniest part for me though is that Ryo, delightful airhead that he is, doesn't even notice they're gone until he goes to water them the following night, even though they're right by his bed, lol!)
