A/N: Double drabble.
When the alarm clock went off at 6am, both Jack and Ianto sat bolt upright in bed, bleary-eyed and barely functional. Meriel was teething and had kept them up most of the night, although they’d taken turns tending to her. Normally a quiet, happy baby, at present she was fractious and miserable, unable to understand why her parents and Nosy couldn’t make the pain go away.
Of course, now it was morning she was sound asleep. Even the alarm going off hadn't woken her.
“Where’d the night go?” Ianto mumbled, rubbing gritty eyes.
“Who cares? It’s gone. What I want to know is…” Jack had to pause as he was overtaken by a huge yawn.
“What?”
“Huh?” Jack blinked owlishly at his husband.
“You wanted to know something.”
“Did I? Oh yeah. Whose turn is it to go to work today?”
Ianto stopped, half out of bed, frowning. “I don’t remember. Did I go to the Hub yesterday or did you?”
“No idea, all the days are blurring together. I don’t even know what day it is.”
“We could phone Owen and ask.”
“We could, but I’ve got a better idea. I’ll text him that we’re both taking today off.”
