A/N: Double drabble.
It occurred to Dee that Ryo sometimes went out of his way to make life difficult for himself. Take today for instance. He’d been in an odd mood since visiting a murder scene that had turned out to be a suicide, and then he’d asked to spend the night with Dee, which... Well, when was Dee ever gonna turn THAT down? It was rare enough for Ryo to make any kind of first move, but back at Dee’s place, there’d been something a bit... off.
When would Ryo learn that he didn’t need to practically proposition Dee when all he really wanted was to be held and listened to? Not that Dee had any objection to sex, far from it, but his partner should know by now that Dee would be there for him whatever he needed.
Ryo’s excuse was that sex calmed him down and took his mind off his worries, and that was fine, but it was a temporary fix.
“Ya don’t haveta do everything the hard way, babe,” Dee told him later, after they’d talked.
“Sometimes hard is good,” Ryo quipped, blushing.
“Did you just make a sex joke?”
“Maybe?”
Dee grinned. “Well, if you’re wantin’ hard...”
