A/N: Double drabble.
As much as they might deny it, and protest if anyone should dare to mention it, Dee and Bikky were very much alike. Both of them were tough street kids whose early lives had been hard and marked by loss. They were both stubborn, rebellious, given to pushing boundaries to see just how much they could get away with, and they were always ready and willing to stand up for others, especially those weaker or less confident than themselves who were being picked on.
Obsessed with sports, especially basketball, they’d happily spend all afternoon glued to the TV, shouting at the screen even though the referees couldn’t hear their insults, and they both wanted all of Ryo’s attention, which caused more than a few fights.
Ryo loved them both, just in different ways. They were his family, his son, and his lover, and thinking back, it really wasn’t surprising that he’d found himself so drawn to them right from the start. Because opposites attracted, and if Bikky was just a younger version of Dee in many ways, it made sense that Ryo should feel compelled to look after him.
They were two of a kind, but they’d never see eye-to-eye.
