A/N: Double drabble.
Perched on a branch in Bute Park, Ianto Crow watched a youth creep up behind a woman sitting on a bench, and quickly snatch her purse from her bag. The woman didn’t notice, she was too busy keeping an eye on her children who were playing nearby.
Ianto himself had come to the park to track down something that had come though the Rift. He’d found it lodged among the tree branches and was waiting for Jack to arrive and collect it. Being able to fly meant he could get just about anywhere ahead of the rest of the team since he didn’t have to negotiate Cardiff’s one-way system.
‘Well, since I’m here, might as well do some crime-fighting.’
Taking flight, he glided to the youth’s shoulder and cawed loudly in his ear, freaking him out. “Stealing is wrong!” he added. “I’ll take that!” and he snatched the purse from the thief’s nerveless fingers.
As the teenager fled across the park Ianto Crow flew back to the bench, landed on the seat, and dropped the purse into the woman’s bag.
“Watch out, there’s a thief about!” he cawed before flying back to his branch.
Nothing escaped his sharp crow eyesight.
