All Dee had wanted was to print out a single copy of the report he’d just finished typing up, so it could be filed with the rest of the paperwork pertaining to a murder he and Ryo had just solved. Everything needed to be in order for when the case eventually came to trial.

He’d done everything right, it wasn’t like this was his first time using the printer, but when he’d clicked ‘print’ on his computer, the frickin’ machine had gone haywire!

It had started okay, chattering away to itself, pulling in a fresh sheet, but the paper went through the printer too fast, was spat out with only part of the report on it, and was followed by what looked like every single sheet of paper the damned thing had access to, some with bits of his report on then, but most either blank or marked with illegible smears of ink.

“I didn’t do anything!” Dee yelled over the grinding sounds the printer was making as he frantically tried to turn it off. “This isn’t my fault!” Finally, he yanked the plug from the socket. Everything went quiet as he gloomily he regarded the mess. “I hate technology.”

The End
