Summary: This is going to be a lot harder than Dee and Ryo’s new cadets realise.

A/N: Double drabble.
The new recruits weren’t particularly inspiring to look at, once again Dee and Ryo had been assigned the dregs of the Academy’s latest intake, along with a couple that had moderate potential. But out of their last seven groups they hadn’t needed to flunk out a single one, and they weren’t about to break their streak.
Today they had their ten cadets in the gym to assess their fitness levels.
“Police work is often very physical, but don’t worry, we’ll whip you all into shape,” Ryo assured them with a smile, before demonstrating some stretches. He moved among them, offering constructive criticism. “Bend your knees more, Cadet Stuart. Cadet Ramirez, don’t slouch. Shoulders back.”
Several of the cadets were puffing a bit when he finally told them to stop, but they all looked pretty pleased with themselves.
“That was easier than I thought it would be,” one commented.
“’Course it was easy,” Dee said, smirking as he paced in front of them. “Those were just the warm-up exercises. Don’t want to injure yourselves on your first day.” His smile widened. “Now the real work begins. We’re gonna drive ya ‘til ya drop. You’re just gettin’ started.”
All the cadets groaned.
