A/N: Triple drabble.
Dating a man was a whole new experience for Drake, and yet some things remained the same. JJ could take forever getting ready to go out, always wanting to look his best for his boyfriend even though Drake had told him often enough that he always looked gorgeous, and showing up on his lover’s doorstep with a bunch of flowers never failed to please.
In other respects, having a boyfriend instead of a girlfriend was a revelation. Drake found himself being courted much of the time, and received a fair number of bouquets, boxes of chocolates, and bottles of wine, along with other thoughtful gifts.
JJ never complained if Drake wanted to watch sports, and if anything, JJ was in the mood to get physical even more often than Drake was.
Sex with a guy had obvious differences, and yet somehow it was less complicated, not having to worry about accidental pregnancy for instance, and Drake couldn’t remember ever laughing so much in bed. JJ made everything fun and happy, which was the perfect antidote for both of them after a rough day at work.
“D’you ever wish I was a girl?” JJ asked one night in a rare moment of vulnerability.
Drake thought about it; did he miss being with a woman, all soft curves and sweet perfume? He couldn’t remember the last time he even thought about girls that way.
“No, I don’t. JJ, you’re everything I could ever want. I’ve never been this happy in my life, didn’t even know it was possible. It’s like I never knew something was missing until we got together, and then it wasn’t missing anymore.”
JJ smiled, relaxing. “I’m glad. I wouldn’t want to think you were missing out by being with me.”
“I’m not missing out on anything. Not now.”
