Summary: Tosh’s five years are up; what will she do now?

A/N: Double drabble.
The five years Tosh had agreed to in return for Jack freeing her from the UNIT prison came to an end while she was in the hospital, recovering from being shot in the stomach. Lying in her hospital bed, once she was able to think clearly enough through the fog of painkillers, she considered her options.
Against all expectations, Torchwood had been her home for the past five years, and the people she worked with had become closer than friends; they were her family. She’d entered into the contract Jack had offered thinking it the best option she had available and expecting to be treated like an indentured servant, and yet it hadn’t felt like that at all. Jack had always been so kind, so encouraging, so proud of her achievements. Thinking of him made her feel warm inside.
But Torchwood was a dangerous place, and the organisation’s secret nature left her very little chance of meeting someone, settling down, maybe having kids. Did she want that?
She knew Jack would let her leave if that was her choice, he’d never try to hold her against her will, but could she really give up so much?
Torchwood was her life.
