A/N: Double drabble.
Today’s lesson for Torchwood’s newest recruits was on how to handle a Weevil.
“Right,” said Ianto, handing out Weevil clamps, spray, and hoods to the newbies. “Weevils can be very aggressive, especially the ones that have just arrived. After a trip through the Rift they’re understandably confused, disoriented, and scared. Most of them calm down once they’re accepted into one of the resident packs, but occasionally one will get driven out and go rogue, often due to illness or injury, or because a younger Weevil has taken over leadership of its pack. Naturally, an aggressive Weevil can’t be left running loose around Cardiff. They have to be caught and brought to the Hub for tagging or treatment before being released into the sewers.”
He led the way to the cells.
“Today you’re going to learn how to safely capture and restrain a Weevil.” Ianto stopped in front of a cell containing a vicious, snarling monster. “Who wants to go first?”
All four of the new recruits took a hurried step back as Ianto unlocked the cell door and the Weevil surged forward.
He hid a smirk, knowing there was nothing to fear. Janet loved hamming up the vicious Weevil routine!
