A/N: Double drabble.
Why was this always so difficult? It wasn’t as if Drake was inexperienced with women; he’d had his share of girlfriends, probably more than his share, he just went through them so fast. None of them lasted for long.
Every time he got dumped he swore that was it, he was through with dating, better off without a woman in his life. But always, after a week or two, he’d start to feel… sort of lonely.
Sure, he could hang out with the guys, but it wasn’t the same. He wanted love and romance, someone to go out on dates with, holding hands and kissing in the back row off the movies. Someone to sleep with, because he was a man; he had needs.
So here he was, in a bar across town from his usual haunts, looking for the next woman to break his heart. He’d spotted a possible candidate, sitting by herself at a table, sipping a glass of wine and looking very much alone. All he needed to do was go over there and engage her in conversation. What was the worst that could happen?
Okay, maybe she’d tell him to shove off.
But maybe she wouldn’t…
