Summary: Andy becomes the latest victim of a mishap with alien tech.

A/N: Double drabble.
One of Torchwood’s most important rules is that you don’t touch anything alien with your bare hands unless you know for certain it’s safe to do so. That generally means waiting until Tosh, Ianto, Jack, or all three of them have researched and identified an object. If it defies identification then any handling is done either with tongs or while wearing protective gloves.
It’s a simple rule, easy to understand and straightforward to follow, so it baffles Ianto that of all Torchwood’s many rules, it’s the one most often broken, even by the supposedly experienced team members.
“Why’d you do that? How many times have you been told not to touch? You should know better!”
Andy winced; he wasn’t a green rookie, he’d been with Torchwood over a year, and he DID know better, but…
“It was reflex. I saw it roll off the desk and I just grabbed for it.”
Ianto supposed that constituted extenuating circumstances, not that it helped Andy. He sighed heavily, regarding the large blue talking crab.
“Try not to worry; I’m sure Tosh will figure it out. In the meantime you’re restricted to Hub duty.”
“If anyone wants me I’ll be in the Rift pool.”
