Owen was fidgeting and dithering again, clearly finding the clothes he was wearing uncomfortable. Ianto frowned at him.
“What’s the matter now?”
“Feels like I’m being strangled.” Owen tugged at the collar of nis shirt with one hand, then pulled at the tie to loosen the knot. “How the fuck can you bear to dress like this every day? Ties are a menace; it’s not just the breathing restriction, they cut off the blood supply to the brain.”
Ianto snorted, amused. “You’re making that up; ties are perfectly comfortable. You’re just having a bit of a panic attack, that’s all. Honestly, you’re just like Jack. The way Tosh tells it, she had to re-do his tie seven times before he finally stopped pulling it loose. You keep that up and you’ll beat his record.” Knocking Owen’s hands away, Ianto re-tied the tie, smoothing it down. “If anything, your collar’s a bit looser than it should be. You’ve probably stretched it with all your tugging.”
“Why do I have to dress like this anyway?”
“Because you don’t want to let Tosh down by arriving at the altar dressed in jeans and a ratty t-shirt. Now smile; you’re getting married, not executed!”
