Double Drabble: Safe Haven

Summary: Ianto provides a place of safety for a frightened alien.

A/N: Double drabble.
The latest alien to arrive in Cardiff was clearly terrified, and Ianto could hardly blame it. The new arrival resembled a bushbaby more than anything else, with its big, round eyes, prehensile tail, and four small paws designed for grasping, but its eyes were the colour of amethysts, its fur was speckled black and white, while its paws and tail were covered in silvery scales.
Ianto didn’t need to be a zoologist to know the poor little creature was designed for life in the trees, but the Rift had dropped it off on a grassy roundabout in the middle of a busy junction, where cars and lorries whizzed past on all sides in an almost endless stream. Surely its present surroundings couldn’t have been less like the place it had been unceremoniously ripped from. When he’d arrived on the scene, the newcomer had been hunched, trembling, in the centre of the roundabout, as far from the traffic as it could get.
As soon as he’d approached it, the alien had scrambled up him like he was tree, taking refuge on his head.
Jack had better pick them both up soon, before the peculiar sight distracted drivers and caused an accident!
