A/N: Double drabble.
Despite what JJ might have longed for, Dee had recognised from their first meeting that zero chemistry existed between them. You either had it or you didn’t and they didn’t, end of story.
It wasn’t that simple for JJ, he kept trying to create something from nothing, never understanding that love and attraction didn’t work that way. No matter how cute JJ was, he didn’t ignite any sparks within Dee and you couldn’t start a fire without a spark.
Ryo was a different matter; the spark had been there from the moment Dee had looked into his new partner’s eyes, and when he stole that first kiss the flames had leapt higher. As much as Ryo tried to deny it, they had the kind of chemistry that sizzled, and every time Dee kissed him it only grew hotter.
As far as Dee was concerned, two people couldn’t share that kind of chemistry and not belong together, which was why he kept pursuing his partner no matter how many times his advances were shot down, determined to win Ryo Maclean, body, heart, and soul, or die trying. Thankfully it hadn’t come to that.
Years later, they still light each other’s fire.
