A/N: Double drabble.
All activity came to an abrupt halt the first time Jack and Ianto brought the twins to the Hub with them. The whole team swarmed around, wanting to make a fuss of the babies, completely ignoring their parents.
“Looks like we’re surplus to requirements,” Ianto sighed. “That’s the last we’ll see of the twins until it’s time to go home.”
“Don’t be so sure; our two little monsters will be cheerfully handed back the moment they need feeding or changing. Babies are only fun when they’re smiling and happy. The first little grizzle and out fearless team won’t be able to give them back fast enough.”
They were both wrong; various members of the team willingly changed nappies and stuck bottles in hungry mouths, but Jack and Ianto did get their babies back occasionally, usually when their team of self-appointed nannies had work of their own they needed to do. The twins seemed to be lapping up the attention; at least they did when they were awake.
“You know, I’m starting to think we might actually survive having twins,” Ianto said, relishing having the chance to relax with a cup of coffee.
“You wait until they’re crawling,” Jack said ominously.
