“This is the life.” Hand in hand with his lover, Dee kicked his way through the loose sand as he and Ryo made their way down to the water’s edge.
It was sunny but not too hot, thanks to the breeze coming in off the sea, and the beach was deserted, far from the nearest town. They’d seen it as they were driving along the coast road, so they’d pulled over and scrambled across the dunes onto yellow sand that stretched for miles.
Strolling along by the water, not a living soul in sight, they might have been in paradise.
