Little Ianto is just adorable, as the Doctor knows. He also sees that Gwen is just as selfish and nasty as the adult version. He likes any version of Tosh. He picked a good time to visit

The TARDIS might have had something to do with the timing!

Must admit I have a tremendous fondness for little Ianto. He tried to keep the others under control, but they were too much for him in little form. Gwen will always be selfish.
