must have been devastating for Jack. still he did come to understand Ianto's motives and tot trust him again. a wonderful pair

Yes, almost worse because he feels he failed them both in some way by not seeing what was going on.

People and messy and complicated. Jack shouldn't take it as a personal failing. They are both very good operatives whose personal lives got tangled up with their working ones.
