A/N: This one’s a drabble and a half, 150 words.
It gets light early at this time of year; working late shift often means heading home just as the sun is coming up. Ryo sort of likes it, except that he’ll be falling into bed when he gets home because they’re on late shift again tomorrow, and on mornings like this, he feels kind of guilty about doing that. It’s such a waste.
“Beautiful morning,” Dee says, coming up beside him on the precinct steps.
“I was just thinking that,” Ryo agrees. “I wish I didn’t have to go straight home to bed.”
“If it’s like this tomorrow morning when we get off, we should grab breakfast and go eat in the park. With two days off it won’t matter if we go to bed late, and anyway, we could nap in the shade if we get sleepy.”
Ryo grins at his partner; Dee comes up with the best ideas!
