I guess that little jingle dates me, huh?
I ordered Season 4, Volume 1 of Voyage to the Bottom to the Sea from Amazon in January. They shipped today.
What ticks me off is, people who ordered after I did have their sets already. And this always happens whenever I order Voyage DVDs from Amazon -- but never with any other sets!
Yes, I should know better, but it was a lot cheaper than at B&N.com, and I wouldn't have been able to get out to the stores on the highway until the weekend -- when they might have been sold out (apparently neither Best Buy, which is my brick-and-mortar of choice when I buy DVD sets, not Wal-Mart is carrying them in every store).
At least I only have to order one more Voyage set from them. And how sad is it that there were only 4 seasons of Voyage produced? You know, just like Enterprise, it was getting better in its 4th year. The last first-run episode, with Seaview thrown back in time to the American Revolution, had its poignant moments between her crew and Major Andre (yes, that Major Andre).
And that brings this little tidbit up -- 1968 was a dreadful year. Voyage -- canceled. Rat Patrol -- canceled. Lost in Space -- canceled. And Mickey Mantle retired. Oh, the misery I suffered all wrapped up in a few months.
voyage,
