Oil companies have practically the lowest profit margin of any business (10 percent or less). They make a "record profit" because people are buying a "record amount" of gas. This is sixth grade math. You don't like it? Buy less gas. Oh, wait. We can't. Because there is no infrastructure in most places that allow us to NOT USE OUR CARS!
