CATCHING FIRE WAS AWESOME
so i spent my first day of holidays a) in bed doing nothing but read fic and flail over X Factor and then b) seeing Catching Fire on my own in the daytime WITH NO CHILDREN IN THE THEATRE!! It was the very best of times.
BUT O M F G I think i forgot how much I LOVED Catching Fire? We shall not speak of Mockingjay because of its fail but CATCHING FIRE WAS SO GOOD! I loved Finnick. I cried when we went and saw Rue's family. I cried a lot actually, in the first half, especially when Peeta left the picture of Rue on the floor in the challenge room. *FLAIL OF THE EMOTIONAL KIND* and OMFG THE MIST? THE MONKEYS? The monkeys had me squealing and the man 2 seats down from me giving me 'the look' but meh, IT WAS VERY LOUD OKAY! I haven't read the book in a forever so I don't know how on par it was but honestly, I didn't really care. The story was fabulous, the cinematic value alone was worth the 18 buckaroos it cost me to go. OH AND CINNA! CINNA!!!!!! and Effy when she's saying her last goodbyes giving them their 'gold' ... acting chops. ACTING CHOPS! and I'm still so STUPENDOUSLY happy to see Woody Harrelson in a movie that I can actually LOVE him in for a change. He's amazing as Haymitch. AND GALE SWOOOOOON I AM SO STILL HERE FOR ALL THE GALE THINGS!
