Old and New (to me) #HP FIC RECS
So I had a relapse into HP fandom a few weeks back mostly from recs from icmezzo list and *sigh*

So... you'll regret asking for recs... I've reread literally all of (I believe) Femme's stuff, including the mpreg. Have you read Pocket Full of Starlight??? So good. And you can't go wrong with Magpie!!!
I also reread all of my favorites from H/D Hols in 2011. I've decided that Humbug (A Christmas Tale) is actually one of my favorite fics ever, of any fandom, of all time. So many good fics from that fest. (Actually, there are a couple on my top ten list there that I haven't reread yet--need to do that!)
A new one that I read is Salt on the Western Wind by Sara's Girl, which is now one of my favorite fics ever, as well. I could have read 1 million words of it. So, so good. Just a kind of absolutely perfect story. After Harry kills Voldemort, the Order wants him (and Ron and Hermione) to go to a safe house so the remaining Death Eaters don't kill him. Narcissa asks Harry to take Draco along, since Harry owes Narcissa his life. Harry agrees. Great versions of all four of the kids.
All right, I'm gonna make these two recs with a strong cautionary note. The stories were awesome and I can't stop thinking about them, but the punctuation and some of the writing was really... not good at all. But the stories are so good that I feel inclined to share my love for them anyway. Keira Marcos' Birth of the Serpent King and Book One of the War Mage trilogy, That Old Black Magic. They're both here. They're unrelated but I consider Old Black Magic to be an AU of Birth of the Serpent King, which is a general HP AU. I'd read Serpent King first because it explains a lot of stuff in depth that will be helpful in Old Black Magic. I really hope she writes books two and three of the War Mage series. Like... right now, please. They get into the whole Lords and Ancient Houses and peerage and stuff, which at first I didn't think I'd like but ended up loving. And Old Black Magic has a big time travel component, one of my favorite things.
I'd never read Sara Girl's Reparations and Foundations, so I read Reparations (but haven't gotten to Foundations, yet).
Hmm, I feel like there was another one that I particularly loved beyond the telling of it but now I can't think of what it was.
I've also reread a bunch of AS/S, although I haven't been able to find nearly as much as I'd like :( Boo. Although I did find Irradiance, which was new to me.

I've just remembered that you recced something I haven't read--When the Clocks Stop--awhile back, so I think I'll read that today! (And it's on FFn, which means it's iPad downloadable!) And I obviously need to go through icmezzo's recs, too! Do you have a link (because I'm lazy)? And I haven't read The Eighth Tale, so I'll do that. No Other Superstar by lettered is actually one of the next ones I've been planning to read, and I hadn't yet reread The Pure and Simple Truth, so I'll go ahead and add that to the list. And man, I haven't read Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, either. FUN FUN SO MUCH NEW STUFF. I just went ahead and downloaded them all. Woo! Do you have more recs??? MORE.
(I've also been rereading Merlin/Arthur. That's been a good time, too :)
And now I have to go do yoga so I don't feel bad about sitting on my ass the rest of the day, reading HP fic :)

I have no more of THOSE recs or merlin but i hear that good things are happening in that fandom still? I even had some completely RANDOM comments on some of mine in that fandom lately which THANKFULLY have not included the lines "WHEN ARE YOU WRITING MORE OF THIS?" cuz the answer is never? LOL
i love that yoga gives you an out. my out is I WORKED ALL WEEK AND I LIKE HIBERNATING ITS WINTER I"M A BEAR or something xox
