My theory is that during X Factor days/up to the first two singles there was something going on between them. At Leeds something happened, Louis bottled it, and broke things off after because he didn't want them to be Those Gays From That Band whereas Harry DGAF. Fairly convinced El is at least partly his idea and he's trying to make a go of it, and on tour he's been tempted/has hooked up with Harry so he's trying to keep his distance and putting on this show. And Harry's sort of... waiting for him to come around/has moved on. All this is based on me thinking Louis has the most to lose or thinks he has the most to lose, because he doesn't seem especially confident about his abilities or chances without the others and he's always been pretty savvy about knowing there's a sell-by date on them as an act. Think you can tell a lot about people by who they choose as friends -- Niall's been hanging with the band and buying fancy guitars so I think his interest in

I think Niall said that lou and liam have been writing a lot? I cant really imagine louis doing that - liam yes, he's all about being a proper muso and niall with the electric guitar and harry just LOVING everything (he was in a band so) but Louis?
I think he's a less naive than the others about the whole thing? I think he has an appreciation of his place in a way.
Obviously it's hard to tell without seeing the outcome of their efforts, but I'd be surprised if Harry didn't have some sognwriting mojo in him because he's the one who's most aware of words. Liam strikes me as a grafter, that he'll take the chance to be around people who know how to do it and absorb it like that. Louis IDK. He is the one I can see ditching pop music for musical theatre or something since he seemed to love the talky bits of the tour as much as the singing. Zayn I can't get a handle on. He's way too sneaky.

Louis is definitely going into that side of things - always taking charge of the twitter q's - getting annoyed at the end of the tour with singing valerie again and again.
I think you're right about the others. Harry loves lyrics, posts them on twitter and has great feels for emotive music if his youtube rec's are anything to go by.
I kind of feel like I don't know anything about Zayn, but I come away with this idea from the BTS stuff and his vids with his mates that he seems like he'd be fun to hang out with. (I wonder how much they all get told to project a certain image and Zayn's is all about the mystery when at heart he's more of a dork)
Think Harry's definitely a bit artier instead of a straight-up perfromer. His love of Instgramming his food is a dead giveaway, lol. Louis and Liam strike me as people who would have auditioned for local theatre etc if this hadn't gone their way because they just like being on stage. Niall IDK. How did he end up in this band?!? He should be Bell X1's guitar tech or something, lol.
I'm writing this zarry thing, and its another future!fic and i'm planning out THEIR futures after the band break up and i kept trying to think outside the norm of what you read - and i just sort of think Niall making his own band with Josh.. i've got Harry doing radio with Nick and then on his own once the famous STUFF dies down and liam kind of slipping into suburbia - doing stuff for Simon and louis - i think in something like - wel what's the WORST eastenders or something? even heading back here and doing 'guest appearance' on home and away or something TRASHY

In my head, Niall will be a sound engineer or a guitar tech or something behind the scenes I think (it's fairly common for people who used to be in bands to move over to the other side - Franz Ferdinand's manager was in an indie band in the 90s and my mate who was in a glam rock band who were big in Japan is on AC/DC's sound team). Harry will be my boy toy and kept man disappear for a bit an reinvent himself as a singer-songwriter or play am-pro golf. Liam will write songs for boybands. Louis will be in the West End and be a judge on a TV talent show. Zayn will spend a couple of years doing guest vocals and then go to uni and get a degree in English and be a cool teacher who teaches poetry with rap.

I can't say I give my job 100%. But then I don't really need to - it's, like, innate in me to sell things to people in soulless ways (seriously - when I was a kid I was OBSESSED with advertising. These days it's just like, 'yeah, whatever, I can sell that'). I even picked up a job and an investment opportunity at that wedding I was at - JD, accidentally networking at your reception while you cut the cake because that's how she rolls, lol.
