Recap - Merlin S4 Sword in the Stone
Can the finale be described in one word?
Epic?
FINALLY?
WHAT?
yeah, I think maybe three will have to do...

Seeing as I waited to watch both parts together, this is kind of a double recap and when I say recap I obviously mean nothing too in depth because I JUST DO NOT HAVE THE WORDS! So I'll keep it brief
EPIC? - Morgana and her army invading. The hilarity of Arthur the Simpleton and Merlin taking advantage of it! Agravaine FINALLY biting the dust and Merlin getting to reveal at least to one person that he is Emrys.
FINALLY? Two things -
EXCALIBUR!!

Merlin's 'Gaius story' to get to Excalibur and then LEON and PERCIVAL and Arthur finally believing in himself - with a little help from Merlin - was amazing. It's true what Colin said at Supernova, the season finale DID include something the fans were all waiting for and that we can't NOT have a season 5.
LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!
I don't care that their relationship has been ALL over the place this season, when they opened the doors and you got to see Arthur crown his Queen, tears. Having to stop the show to wipe the mascara out of my eyes TEARS! And Merlin and Gaius all dressed up and pretty and their FACES! Oh such pure joy!
WHAT?
I just. . . I have no words.
Other moments of interest -
Gwaine. Oh Gwaine. Fighting to look after Gaius, I really love the bond all the Knights have with him and the dungeon scenes with Elyan and Gwaine proved that again.
Plus, Gwaine half naked, delirious and still able to brawl and be his gorgeous sarcastic self to Morgana at the same time? HOT.
The ever present (and it is becoming SUCH a pairing for me to read) love fest between Elyan and Percival. TEEHEE!
So all in all, I think it was a fabulous season end, still very choppy with plot and OH EM GEE if they don't give us the magic reveal next season THERE WILL BE BLOOD SHED!
Now what do I watch while I wait for season 5??
