Job Decisions
AAACK!! I quit my job today at Volunteers of America and took a job with Catholic Community Services. It's a 3 dollar an hour raise and great benifits. An hour later I was offered a new job at Volunteers Of America for a $4 an hour raise, less benifits, but I am so in love with VOA's mission that I really want to stay. The executive director and I are at constant logger heads though and so part of me wants to leave just because of that. On the other hand, I love VOA, really really love it. And working for the Catholic Church might be tough for me so maybe I should agree to stay. On the other hand I would love the new job as it is doing lots of community outreach....I choose...(look over there) YOU FOOL! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well known is this: "Never go in against a Social Worker when death is on the line"
