It's been so long that I almost don't know where to start.
I guess I'll fill the world in on the big news of the past two weeks. I've started dating a girl up here at Miami. Her name is Kathleen, and I'm not gonna lie...she's pretty awesome. I know her through St. Mary's. I've been kind of out of touch with the world, including LJ, due to extreme busyness, so I might not have told a lot of you. So here's the big announcement. It happened pretty fast, we haven't known each other all that long. We just...'clicked,' just like that. There was definitely some uncertainty on my part at first, since I had convinced myself I didn't need/want a girlfriend. A four hour conversation on a park bench took care of that. We've been hanging out and having lots of fun. I don't feel like this should be a super public thing (and I hate mushiness on public forums), so that's really all I'm going to say about the subject for the moment. But I'm happy.
In other, less happy news, my IPod has suddenly stopped working. With no good reason. I was listening to it on the way to Glee Club last night, and then it wouldn't turn on on the way home from Club. I can't find the wall charger to plug it into either (that apparently helps -- refreshes the 'firmware' or whatever Apple calls it.) So I need to find/borrow a wall charger. If that doesn't work, the nearest Apple store I know of is in Kenwood, which would be a huge pain. I've heard of IPods crapping out randomly, but it's one of those things that always happens somewhere else. To someone else's Ipod. Not in my neighborhood...
The nice thing about having super busy Mondays and Tuesdays is that the week is nearly half over before I know it. Tomorrow Mike and I and maybe George are going to look at a house, kicking off the great "not be homeless bums in Oxford" campaign. I'm really excited to live with him again next year, I miss the late night philosophizing. Thursday I'll be home in the evening for "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" practice at Badin. I'm playing drums in the pit. The show is Nov. 17th -- 20th (next weekend, Thurs to Sun.) You should see it if you're in the area. It's cute. Friday is the Guided Prayer Retreat at St. Mary's, then Saturday I'll be going to Miami's Opera, "Cosi Fan Tutti."
Yeah, so cancel those IPod complaints. I fixed it, thanks to the magic of the internet. Have a good one...
