bands that i think i might like maybe yes?
okay, so the other day my boss was out of the office for most of the day so i listened to yrock pretty much all day and heard a few songs that made me go "holy crap that's awesome!" i have since got each of the individual songs, plus a few others from each band (through itunes and various other sources) and i like them all, and so am thinking of procuring whole albums by said bands. HOWEVER, i now have a dilemma:
1) i am a cheapskate and so don't want to pay for something unless i'll really really like it.
2) i don't want to pirate independent music (any more than i already have, that is).
SO, internets, you must help me. these are the bands, followed by the songs i know i like. i think i can get most of the albums these songs are on on itunes for like ten bucks a pop. so, if you've heard of them, tell me what you think: are they worth it?
the little ones ("morning tide")
ra ra riot (especially "ghost under rocks," but also "too too too fast" and "run my mouth")
eulogies (especially "two can play" [OH GOD THE HARMONIES] but also "one man," "life boat," and "bad connection")
tokyo police club ("tessellate" and "be good")
if you haven't heard of them, go find these songs! (hype machine is a good place for that, btw.) especially eulogies "two can play" and ra ra riot "ghost under rocks;" they are THE AWESOMEST. (or something.)
