okay, maybe not so much the profit part.
so, everybody, your assignment: best "side one track one"s (i.e., track 1 of an album) of all time. you don't have to do a top five, at least not right away; i'm going to just make a big list and organize it later.
side note: it seems to me that such a list would include two types of songs: 1) songs that are awesome that just happen to be the first track, and 2) songs that work really well as a first track as such. some songs could probably be considered both. you are certainly welcome to include both!
