family values
so not just one but both of our illustrious senators voted to allow torture. to allow not only crazy terrorist foreigners to be tortured--oh, no, that wouldn't do. to allow anyone to be tortured. anyone our illustrious president decides might be dangerous. and by what criteria might he decide? "judgments and instincts and evaluations and implementations that [...] are probably going to be different from day to day."

i am so deeply disgusted, there are hardly words. i wish i could ask all the people who plan to vote for santorum this november--all the people with "santorum for family values" signs in their yards--to think long and hard about this question: is keeping gays from marrying enough of a reason to allow torture?
