[Action]

If you should happen to wander around the City, just where you can see the forests' edge, you might see a big, friendly dog there. Its coat a beautiful shade of yellow, it might be walking around, perhaps in circles, like it's pacing. If you catch its eyes, however, it will give you a friendly look, cock its head to one side, and yap.

heliolatrous, kisspokepoke, that time of month, in the forest, justcautious, moon phase: full moon, furry and friendly, ttly not angua

[ He has been wandering around the City, actually! ...though he is confused why this dog is barking at him. ]

What do you want?

She gives the equivalent of a wolf-sigh. She can quite literally smell the attitude and ego coming off of him, along with something else that's sort of curious, but he's one of the only people to come to her end of the City today. She's been relying on the small supply of meat that she kept in her room for these occasions, but she hadn't gotten around to replacing it from last month, for some reason. So she had resigned herself to depending on the kindness of strangers giving treats when they see a cute doggie with a wagging tail. It had worked before, at any rate.

She looks up at him with big, sad eyes, before yapping once more, and bounding a few feet away to go chase her tail for a minute, and then returning to sit in front of him, panting happily. She looks the perfect picture of a loyal dog. She cocks her head to one side and whines. This is, perhaps, not what she'd always heard women talk about when they said to use their natural wiles, but it worked.

[ Well, he's kind of had people as pets before, so maybe it's sort of the same thing...though he doesn't know what she wants from him. Not that he has pockets. Or food. ]

I don't have anything for you.

Please pretend the rest of her icons are wolves. badhairlifetime January 18 2011, 22:40:51 UTC
Her ears go down, almost flat. Drat, all that for nothing. He seems serious, too. Her ears lift up as she stands back up to walk, semi-towards the rest of the City, as she plunks down, facing it. She looks at it, and then back at this new guy.

Chris, rather embarrassingly, took a wrong turn on patrol, which he's why he's at the edge of the City instead of in the middle of it. If this was Manchester, this wouldn't have happened (and he wouldn't have had to be on patrol ANYWAY) but as it is, wrong turn and he's only now realising it, now that's he's come to the forest at the edge. Ah. Right. That's why things weren't looking familiar.

At which point, he sees the dog, and stops to look, because there's something a bit wolfy about it, and you never know with the City, really, it could be something vicious. But it doesn't LOOK vicious, it looks friendly, and besides, it has a collar on, which means Chris identifies it as a dog and relaxes slightly.

"Hullo," he says. "Who do you belong to?"

She can smell Chris coming from quite some distance away. She has an inner debate in the meantime, as to whether or not she should keep out in the open. After all, she's still wearing her badge, and Chris isn't as entirely stupid as others make him out to be; this is not how she intended on telling her coworkers about her lunar problem. Chief Beckett knows, of course, but she had planned on telling the rest of Intelligence at another time. She just- never had gotten around to it.

In the end, hunger won out. She had made a valiant attempt at getting the collar off of her neck, but he arrived before she managed to even loosen it.

"Ruff!" She barks as a means of keeping up appearances as a dog, and starts panting, tongue hanging out, tail wagging. She sits down, making sure to maintain a few feet away, just in case he has particularly good eyesight.

"S'okay," Chris says, smiling at the dog. "I'm not goin' t' hurt you." He looks about a bit more for an owner and, not seeing one, crouches to face the dog. "Come on--" Boy? Girl? He honestly has no idea, especially not with it sitting down, so he leaves the statement open and digs in his blazer pocket instead. Possibly luckily for Angua, Chris has taken to keeping treats on him because of his dog (and technical resident police dog), Jareth. He finds a couple, after a little rummaging, and holds them out carefully towards the dog. If he can get it a bit closer, he can work out whose dog has gone missing.

The treats smell like they've been made out of severely ground up pieces of animals that most people probably have never heard of. They were tantalizing. But she couldn't get them without him looking at her collar. Maybe he wouldn't notice? It was a stupid thought, but she was hungry.

Very slowly, she starts padding over to him. Ears still pointed up, tail slightly lowered.

[ Ty Lee doesn't have much to do but wander around and get used to the cold weather. All the animals look different from the ones she knows, even if the difference is just slight sometimes, but at least she hasn't gotten attacked. ...much.

She still walks over to the dog when she notices it as if she doesn't have a care in the world. Such a pretty dog, she thinks! ]

Oh, hi there, sweetie! Are you lost? [ She even leans over on her knees to talk. ]

Assume that all icons are wolf-ish ones. ^^' badhairlifetime January 19 2011, 03:47:27 UTC
She could tell that this one was a good find. Nice, friendly, and someone that she didn't know in other circumstances. She barks a little, and chases her tail, before coming over closer and sitting down.

Ty Lee coos, looking at her chase her tail like a little puppy. She suddenly thinks how she's always wanted a pet... She crouches in the snow to stroke her head happily. "You're so pretty, you must be someone's. Do you need help getting home?"

"Ruff, ruff!" She seems to appreciate the head-patting. She tilts her head a bit at the question, and whines slightly.
