forever shoes and two lost souls swimming in a fishbowl year after year...

My very sparse INXS thoughts:

I feel bad for Marty that he didn't win, but I'm happy he lost, and hope he gets his own band together, and makes his own album, and he'll super rock! I was crying, "Why didn't you win!!!" while he was singing with the band. Also I loved how he packed, hahahahah. Mig, I think we'll see in the country soon maybe he'll have a sold out concert and/or appear in a musical or something. I swear, he never had a chance, the only guy from their band INXS who liked him was the blond bassist guy, God bless him. JD won, ho-hum.

I did something with Jewel yesterday that we've never done together before - shop for shoes. I didn't buy any (I'm still saving for my elusive red campers), while Jewel had to buy a very specific kind of shoe. While looking for the shoes, she said to me, "Do you notice that I always have a pair of shoe like this? Everytime I wear them out, I always buy a similar looking one. Do you notice?"

I laughed because, as she mentioned it, it dawned on me that, yes, she always had that kind of shoe, always. Then I said, "Hey, I have a forever shoe too, guess what it is." She said, "Sandals!" I didn't want to let her get off that easy and made her describe them. She thought about it for a while, then picked up a wedge and said, "Sandals with the heel like this." I nodded, though what I originally had in mind were leather thongs. The wedge heel is also right, as it was part of my forever leather thong sandals, I just didn't think about it as I had been buying heels less and less. But no matter how many pairs of flats I purchase, I realize, I still have a high wedged thong sandal. Haha, how cool.

Before our shoe-purchasing expedition, we stumbled upon Kitch, who was buying her birthday gift for Pye (Happy Birthday Pye!!!). Speaking of a forever shoe, Kitch noticed that I was wearing never before shoes. She stopped Jewel in mid-sentence and cried, "Joe, are you in sneakers??!!!"

I plan to buy more too. Soon, I hope.

Drama lang ako sandali (Drama just I short moment)

I kinda teared up while Marty sang "Did you trade a walk-on part in a war for a lead role in a cage..." Reminded me of mistakes I made in the past, during the time I was listening to this song. I swear, settling for something you didn't want as much can really suck, you know what I mean?

I'm very lucky I didn't settle this time around. How I wish, how I wish you were here...

shoesies!, music
