partying is a tiring business!
Pre-party, at the Our Home store in SM Southmall:
Fresh out of the fire: Roast chicken.
Mom's pesto, which she started making after eating in Cibo with us and declaring our favorite Farfalle Alla Genovese atrociously bland. We bristled, but she showed us up with one of her best pasta concoctions ever.
We also had chorizo sauce and bacon & mushroom sauce but I wasn't able to take photos of those.
Mom's Russian Potato Salad which Anatoli, our Russian ballet master at PBT, once declared some of the best stuff ever.
What Mom's chicken pot pie looks like before people dig into it. Yes, those are little heart cutouts in the crust.
The night's big hit - Mom's pot roast. Believe it or not, we had few guests but it was totally wiped out. *grumpy*
I'll post pictures of the dessert later, hehe.
Post-party, lunch today at Tempura in Alabang Town Center:
